Gerry W. shared this:
The Tapestry Study Group tries to keep an ongoing project on the tapestry loom at Guild House and it travels to some other locations to demonstrate tapestry weaving. This is the design the study group planned. We all agreed that something about “houses” or buildings would work well on the upright loom. So several members brought photos of houses from around the world and we voted on this one.
Tapestry Study group members demonstrated tapestry weaving at the MFA during the current exhibit using this project and some other individual projects.
The April Tapestry Study Group meeting will be this coming Sunday, April 19, at 2:00 pm, Guild House. Bring show and tell, ideas, problems, and answers to questions.
Gerry will bring the Opaque Projector to demonstrate ways to use it to create cartoons for weaving.
Be sure to bring the Guild House phone number if you don’t have access code.
