This page was in the newsletter for April 1999. Martha was a life member who often served on the board and participated at every level to keep the guild moving forward. She taught weaving classes in her home and her students often became members. Note that the fabric was actually woven 50 years before the sample was mailed out! So obviously, she did a little destashing to contribute a sample to the newsletter.
I’m doing a lot of destashing at my house, donating boxes of things to an art organization, a charity shop as well as my local garbage can. I emptied a box of newsletters, saving articles that interested me and some of the samples. I can’t even remember some the classes I was listed as having taught! We have had letters from members who moved away and book reviews and summaries of workshops.
Every once in a while, I’ll scan and share some of the old stuff I’ve found.
