Project Planning – Start to Finish

This class is designed to help new floor loom weavers plan a project. We will plan a project that students can then go home and weave. A handout will be given with a project planning form to use at home. The class will cover:

• How to read written directions for projects from kits or magazine articles.
• Planning a project, how to determine project size, yarn type, weave structure, etc..
• Your project can be planned with yarn you already own or yarn you want to order.
• A sett chart will be given and we will discuss how to determine the best sett for your project.
• Sources for where to buy weaving supplies will be given.
