Freestyle Weaving
Freestyle weaving is weaving intuitively and simply, with a focus on color and texture. Freestyle weaving can showcase handspun treasures and make the most from a weavers or knitters stash. This is weaving that doesn’t involve pre-planning, complicated threading or treadling, or precision – this is plain weave with an attitude. Students will begin the class with a pre-warped loom, select yarns and fiber from a curated selection, and learn techniques to make a unique and distinctive weaving. At the end of class, each student will have a colorful, fun and unique fabric. No weaving experience is needed, and all materials and equipment are provided.
