Beginning Floor Loom Classes

You asked for it, floor loom weaving classes on Saturdays. If you’ve had a class before the project class is for you. Pick a project you want to do and DeeDee will guide you through all the steps in the process,begins this Saturday March 28!

Never woven, sign up for the Saturday Beginning Floor loom class, starts April 4.

Introduction to Rigid Heddle Weaving
Saturday, April 18

imageHave you wanted to try out weaving? Knitters and spinners this is a great stash buster. Rigid heddle looms are an easy and inexpensive way to try weaving. Everything including the loom you will use is provided for this class, just come ready to have fun! Students will dress the loom and begin weaving a scarf or table runner in class. Looms will be checked out and weaving will be completed at home.

$80, includes materials

imageUnderstanding Color Part I
Saturday, April 25 and Sunday April 26

Do you ever wonder why you don’t get the color results you expect in your projects? Or why that lovely hand-painted yarn doesn’t look at all the same when it’s woven or knitted? This class is geared toward fiber artists, but should help artists working in any medium take a giant step forward in learning how to deal with color in their projects. Through a series of exercises, students will learn the basics of color theory and the principles of both pigment and optical color mixing.

$150 – includes 2 days of fun plus supplies
