CHH's 60th Anniversary juried exhibition, Material Matrix was open to the public in November of 2010 at Gallery M-Squared, 339 West 19th Street, Houston, Texas. This exhibit was conceived as a way to celebrate CHH's 60-year history and to promote the energetic and growing community of Texas fiber artists.

Jurors Ann Matlock and Pat Spark, both well-known and internationally recognized artists, selected over 50 items for the exhibition, including functional handwoven pieces, tapestries, wall hangings, 3D works in felt, beadweaving, and basketry.

At the recent opening night of Material Matrix the following awards were given; Laura Viada, Best of Show, Lynn Williams and Elisa Lewis each received Awards of Merit. An Award of Merit was also received by Lynn Smetko a member of the Dallas Handweavers and Spinner Guild.

Other CHH members juried in were: Marian Carlson, Therese Coucher, Blaine Davis, Colette Durbin, Connie Elliott, Barbara Esterholm, Diane Ferguson, Antje Goldflam, Kathie Hayes, Carole Huelbig, Giovanna Imperia, Tracy Kaestner, Barbara Kile, Scharine Kirshoff, Charlene Kolb, Joanne Purkis, Diana Rinkoff, Linda Sura, Olga Tarasova, Caryn Vukelich, DeeDee Woodbury, and Gerry Woodhouse.
