Tension Problem Solved!

Note the two bungee cords

I think I have the issues resolved.  First of a piece of wood under the loose section worked nicely. I will put up a photo tomorrow. At dinner Neil and I discussed the problems and when he came to take a look and he  wondered why I only had one bungee on the batten? Low and behold when I glanced down the length of the batten there was a minor discrepancy.  I placed a second bungee cord on the other side of the batten and measured (like an engineer – multiple times) to make sure everything was copacetic.

Voila !  Oh – one more thing.  I had misplaced my pick glass. Wasted two days digging around for it.  Finally went out and bought a new one.  Measured my picks per inch and found a was quite a bit short.  Beating to square has made a world of difference !  I am so happy!  Photos tomorrow.

I had that happen on something I wove (and given my low productivity I should remember what) and I had no bungies involved. I put some packing under the “loose” area. I have a little wood thingy with a cutout for the one inch but don’t have a pick glass. I’m assuming it’s a magnifying glass so you can actually see your small threads. Ooooh. I seriously need one…. – not that I weave with tiny threads. Oh wait, my weaving productivity for the past year has been what? zilch. Never mind. Back to webweaving….
